Application of integral drainage board engineering

1. Application in horizontal diversion drainage engineering

The drainage boards are used in the horizontal drainage layer. Permeability and osmotic resistance determine the drainage capacity, and the horizontal drainage capacity shall be greater than the vertical drainage capacity; the 1.5m-wide horizontal drainage boards can be laid flat or cross-stacked longitudinally and transversely, or cross-stacked at intervals longitudinally and transversely, and the quantity and number of layers of drainage boards laid can meet the water flow capacity required by the horizontal drainage layer.

With the combined vacuum and piling preloading, horizontal drainage boards and vacuum systems will not be damaged by settlement and uneven settlement under strong loading. Vacuum tubes are connected at the upper part of the sealing membrane, bending connection extends to the outside of the backfill layer area to connect the vacuum pump manifold, and for the high-strength PE conduits for power application available in the high backfill layer, the insertion-type hot-melt connection is used for butt connection or a large pre-buried large pipe is used as a sheath during backfilling and soil piling. Horizontal drainage boards are of a flat structure, with strong pressure resistance, and have sufficient toughness and elongation; horizontal drainage boards extend, overlap, and stack for 50cm as the extension space for settlement and uneven settlement under loading.

The 1.5m-wide horizontal drainage board is a high-performance drainage material with multiple functions, of which the strength and the isolation and anti-filtration performance are stronger than those of geotextile, the strength is stronger than that of plastic geogrid, and the permeability, resistance, flow rate, compression strength, and deformation resistance are higher than those of sand cushions and filter tubes.

(1) The 1.5m-wide horizontal integral drainage boards are cross-stacked and laid for the horizontal diversion drainage layer channels, which can replace the horizontal gravel drainage layer and filter tubes. The drainage boards are provided with integral diffusion-type vacuum collector drainage components so that the vacuum suction loss is reduced, the range of suction is increased, and the quantity and power consumption of vacuum pumps are reduced.

(2) The wide horizontal integral drainage boards, with multiple functions of horizontal diversion drainage, isolation, anti-filtration, and reinforcement, can be used in projects under different scenarios and operating conditions.

2. Application in interlayer isolation and impermeability/reinforcement/drainage engineering

(1) The drainage boards are applied to the top surface of tunnels, road subgrades, slopes, plaza foundations, stadium track foundations, pedestrian walkway foundations, underground garages and garage roofs of housing construction, roofs of buildings, factory floors, and other works.

(2) The wide horizontal integral drainage boards are laid in the base layer of buildings and the interlayer in the surface layer, playing multiple roles, such as anti-filtration, isolation, seepage control, drainage, and reinforcement, and can resist damage to the surface layer (such as hollowing and cracking) caused by wet swelling of the base surface and uneven settlement of the foundation.
